I choose #4, Trumpet Guy. I'd prefer to have an icon that emphasizes the collective effort of the people of Korea. Plus, trumpet fanfares and all.

Socialism is, after all, in opposition to the Great Man Theory. I do feel, however, that some random images of proletarians would be more appropriate, especially in the case of DPRK, than some massive Stalinist architectural marvel.

Either I forgot, or nobody told me about these polls.
Regarding the images, none of the above are actually usable as they are because they've had black borders added (it would get cut off at the corners and look strange in browsers other than IE version 8 and lower).

I can redo them with no black. I only did that because they were examples and the black looked better against the background color on here. Neater.
