Should incest, even among closest relatives,be legalized?
I vote "no",it should never be legalized. Not even among distant relatives(everything under the 4th generation).

I voted no, for reasons which are so resoundingly obvious I hardly need to recount them here. The act itself can hardly be legislated against, but the results deserve to be discouraged.

humans in primitive time used to do it alot i believe, but oh well. it's not a viable evolutionary strategy, and there are certain psychological factor which makes you unattracted to your sister for example, not just morals of society.

oh come on she's not that ugly, i'll do her. i guess there often is an abusive relationship. also parents and their children having sex is very distressing psychologically even if over the age of consent, albeit primitive society didnt seem to have taboo about that either.

God, Dagoth, that picture you posted looks like my Russian literature prof from the second semester of my last school year in uni. Problem is, my prof then was a chick.
I either got incest and inbreeding mixed up earlier, or my mind was drawing a direct link between the two. In any case, I pretty much agree with Dagoth on this issue. I think it's weird and there's just something gross about it. Because of what it could possibly produce, it should be looked down upon. As for the use of contraception that Mabool brought up, there is of course also the possibility for contraceptives to fail, or perhaps they choose not to, in which case of either of those happening and pregnancy does occur, it would be best for the woman to have an abortion (though the state probably can't force that but should suggest it strongly nevertheless if it is discovered that the child will have some severe problems). On the other hand, there's no real reason to legislate people's personal sexual lives, because that would be excessive meddling on the part of the state and set up a dangerous precedent in the process.
Of course, abuse should always be watched out for.

Yes. As long as it isn't allowed to reproduce between close relatives, it harms nobody.
