I saw similar statue when I was in Moscow in 2003. (I'm not sure if this is the same one)
That statue that I saw consisted of 3 soldiers who symbolized the deffenders of Russian fatherland. One of those soldiers was in dark age uniform(war with Mongols), second in uniform of the Russian army in the war with Napoleon, and third - in Red Army uniform of the Great Patriotic War.

A Lenin statue in a very small Dutch settlement in the north of Groningen(the north-eastern province) called "Tjuchem". The story behind it from a Dutch website, there's more info on it in Voorwaarts!, but I can't find this particular issue at the moment.

Quote:
The flat landscape of northern Groningen is sometimes interrupted by an incidental clock tower, stately farms AND a giant statue of Lenin, the man behind the Russian October Revolution and "founder" of the Soviet Union. What is this statue doing here? Will Tjuchem soon be a place of exile or perhaps a place of pilgrimage for old communists? Are there perhaps political plans being made here?

A visit to the statue still doesn't clear up why it's supposed to be here in these farmlands. The statue is probably just there for fun, but one peculiarity is that it points in the direction of Brussels[the seat of bureacracy of the European Union]. Could it be an accusation after all? Besides, communism was alive in northern Groningen more than anywhere else during the last century. The statue doesn't seem entirely out of place after all.

The nine meters high statue of Vladimir Ilyich Lenin has been imported from the East-German Merseburg by its owner, and is since standing on the driveway to his company in Tjuchem.

Ho Chi Minh statue (Ho Chi Minh City)

Here is a familiar HCM statue in the city's center. You can see Uncle Ho with children. The statue is located in a square in front of the People's Committee building (which lies behind the statue).

I recently visited this monument in Treptower Park, Berlin. Its the East-Berlin monument to ww2, much more impressive than the west-berlin monument, wich i also visited.
