Hitler Meets Mannerheim Monologue
If this is not faked and Hitler wasn't lying, then he wasn't a fool like they often depicted. Anyone think that German Capitalists attacked our Soviet Union because they underestimated our power? "Stalin brought us up — on loyalty to the people, He inspired us to labor and to heroism!" Soviet Anthem 1944.

Thanks for posting this. I'd never heard it before. Hitler was most definitely not a fool by any stretch of the imagination. There were a whole lot of reasons why the Nazis invaded Soviet territory and their underestimating the soviet military potential only made their predictions and calculations of a quick victory all the more false.

Great find. Seems like Hitler underestimated Soviet production capacity. If I am not mistaken the Soviet Union was already producing more armaments than Nazi Germany by 1942, which was the height of Axis power.

Molotov said something similar about Hitler not being a complete idiot:
Molotov wrote: Anyway, very interesting post. I'd heard it before, but it remains interesting to hear a talking Hitler instead of a shouting Hitler. Some people think fascism can be foreseen by the obvious idiocy of its leaders and followers. I think this shows this is not true.

I don't think he was a madman either. He was just a nazi.
It's strange that Hitler says that Soviet demands were "extortion". The deal was fair imo. Of course there was the delivery of the Prinz Eugen and other technology, but they received a lot of raw material including oil. It's a pity that the recording stops at the most interesting moment. OP-Bagration wrote: Yes, but I think he was too paranoid about a Communist invasion. We didn't want his Europe, we only wanted peace to develop our Socialism society. We only intervened when the capitalist cannot control Europe anymore and people want another way of life. That was the intent of Stalin and the Party. Marx and Engels also said that the proletariat of each country must overthrow its ruling class first. The reason we losed in Poland, Finland, or Afghanistan were that the people there weren't ready for the revolution. The capitalists had made Hitler into a scarecrow in order to whitewash their crimes. Hitler was a matyr of Capitalism and he deserved the rightful place in Capitalism history.
