How was the cleanliness of the environments in the USSR handled? Were there janitors and cleaners? And around how much were they paid? I have read a couple of mentions of janitors in this section of the forum though I'd like to know more about how it's handled.

Well, of course there were janitors and cleaners. I don't know the rest about this through.
