Apparently Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker plans to implement a $50 fee for each capitol officer "needed to police" the event. I mean, what the frag?! I understand that the only effect of this would be a stronger reason to protest in the first place, but this is just ridiculous. Here are a couple of articles on the matter and the official policy if you are interested:

This is the same guy who gave massive tax breaks to companies and then claimed there was a budget crisis.

Capital suppressing dissent. Same old.

What is the fee I have to pay for a revolution? 100 dollars per national guardsman, plus cost of ammunition?
Soviet America is Free America!

Under communism, there is no freedom; you are not free to live in poverty, be homeless, to be without an education, to starve, or to be without a job

So you have to pay to make free speech now? I don't even think Assad is trying that trick, what a joke.

Blatantly unconstitutional to try and charge citizens for their right to protest and pass it off as some sort of "special event" that they have to permit and pay for.

This would be struck down as quickly as it could get to court.

Seriously, only a complete idiot in would try something like this. Sane politicians and administrators don't bother with nonsense like this because there is no benefit to it. There is no winning for Walker on this one.

Wisconsin is paying the price for turning on its progressive roots and getting this guy in while at the same time, voting out Feingold.
No really, I swear, I'm not gay.
