The US has already doomed itself, Russia is on the rise, they only just need to sort out their 2 biggest problems.

1. Demographic problem
2. Capitalism

Both can be solved there is no reason why populations decrease its all about the standard of living. During soviet times the population hardly diminished, it increased as per the statistics, since old buddy Yeltsin got in power its been diminishing.

So now you see what capitalism does, it KILLS people and more have died as a result of it than communism/socialism could ever kill.

I'm done ranting, USSR can come back

necroposting eh

I don't see the USSR coming back. Remember its the union of soviet socialist REPUBLICS ... good luck getting the baltics back, they are under the grip of the EU. Because of this the Baltics have to look forward to the EUSSR. And besides, no matter how mighty Russia gets.. it will still be the Russian Federation, not the RSSR.

It would take some large changes in world politics to even get a change to build a new USSR, and still it would be almost impossible.

Shrug not as impossible as you may believe.

They said the exact same thing in the 1980s that the USSR would be around forever. Less than a decade later it well you all know what happened.

Hitler said that his Reich would be around for a 1000 years.

That so has to happen.

QFT. Unless Putin declares himself Czar/Tsar and there is another Revolution, socialist Russia won't be around for a long time.

The only way we could have the USSR back again is by strategy.
As we all know now the Russia is a Iranian allie.
If Iran as i hope they would, is built a Nuclear weapon and arrack israel.
Israel will retaliate and attack.
On russia's part is to support it's allies which i hope they do.
and america will support israel.
then you will see that capitalism will be looked as and "enemy" to the russian people. as it's and american way of life.
and there you have it USSR

well i wish thats what happens

The USSR, as a federation of the Russian, Central Asian, Ukrainian, and Mongolian socialist republics, most likely not arise again for quite some time if such a union ever arises again.

If a union of socialist states was formed it would most likely be amongst newly formed Latin American socialist states — Cuba, Venezuela, Colombia, Bolivia or a federation of soviet socialist states amonst Nepal, Bhutan, and a revolutionary India.

As for the question of a Russian Revolution there are two possible outcomes. The first is a revolution by Russian nationalist who effectively establish a fascist regime. The second is an actual bourgeois revolution against Putin that would probably lead to European intergration and economic development. Both options seem bad but I'm hoping for the second as Russia would become a neo-colony speeding up revolutionary forces.

The USSR will come back one day, history repeats itself, in Russia there are many people who want nothing else but to restore the USSR and the former glory and power Russia had when it was part of the USSR. It may take 200 years before a new communist state is created but it can also happen tomorrow, nobody knows, one thing we do know, time will tell!

Civilians wars will be generated to build these states following a UN intervention. Only a UN crisis will open the door to create that
new states.

It is very possible. As people have posted, there are many people throughout the former USSR who want to return to the glory days, a time when the elderly were guaranteed pensions, paid in a timely fashion, and when othher citizens had access to healthcare, full education, and some job stability.
However, I don't see the entier union coming together. The Baltic states would never return to the Union, nor would some of the Central Asian or Caucasian states that have a major American military presence, like Uzbekistan and Georgia.
Recently, I found in a random source that the US has over 100 operational military bases in the former USSR, whereas Russia has only 4. Can anyone corroborate that?

Uzbekisten recently signed an alliance with Russia so I would say they would be among the first to return to the union.

Given the unpredictability of politics, it is extremely possible. If a communist party were to arrive with an excellent speaker, let us call him (or her) X, then there is a chance they would get into power. Of course, there is also the territorial aspect of this: the USSR was the ruling power over many countries, which dissolved when the USSR collapsed. Would X, if he/she came into power, be able to regain these countries without spelling defeat for the New USSR by the west via diplomatic or military means? If X were able to manage the Russian economy better than the Premiers of the former USSR then the New USSR's economy would definitely progress, but how far?

It is most probable that a communist party will rule Russia again, but the likelihood of the USSR returning in all its former glory is less likely.
Down with the bourgeois epoch!
