Hah. The Siberians perhaps could take more cold but they werent that experienced either. They took hundreds of thousands non-experienced soldiers with thousands of tanks and planes operated by non-experienced crews and pilots and sended them to Finland, I would call that dumb.
I don't think the Ukrainians were so happy 'bout being sent to Finland...
They were, as ythey thought that Finns would be easily defeated.
did you see Discovery were that dude from the 44th Division described the hell he went through, they couldn't ski, but the finns could, and quietly too. So they sneaked on them, fired SMG's and threw grenades then disapperead in the dark, I wouldn' want to experience that...
That is correct. Finns knew how to ski, fast and quietly. In several mottis skis were found on Soviet trucks but these were useles as Soviets didnt know how to ski. Ski patrols armed with submachineguns were...shall I say unpleasant suprises to Reds.
and even the Red Army papper got mad at that fact and demanded ski lessons for Soviet troops
Wery common sight when Soviet troops were learning how to ski was soldiers coming down a hill with full speed..and then falling on the ground.
what a splendid sight it must ahve been, imagine some fresh Ukrainians, just learned how to skii, then they fall, how hard can it bee to reach so many kills?? and not to mentiion the roads, shit, no wonder the Soviets lost that many men..
You yust said it.
