This is pretty sad, it would seem that unless you live in Pyongyang, every other North Korean is living in darkness. The whole country, except for Pyongyang, is in utter darkness. here, take a look:

This is pretty distressing! Even Vladisvostok has more electricity than North Korea!

It’s even more shocking to look at North Korea, then Japan which one almost covered with lights. Yes, they are building nuclear weapons but don’t even have electricity, shows a lot about Kim Jong II’s priorities. Maybe they should be using their nuclear technology on power plants instead (or are they looking into that already). After this you better not call North Korea Communist or even Socialist, that would be an insult.

When I was typing up my last post, Ixabert’s hadn’t appeared yet. So I didn’t realize that until I was already finished. I know why that is now, my bad.
Check the time difference, two minutes, so its not hard to believe. Blackouts, that makes sense, I should have known that was the case, few countries have power poblems so severe.

No they aren't. The DPRK was storing enriched nuclear fuel according to IAEA norms as agreed in the agreement of 1994 for energy-related purposes. The Western media have turned this into a sensation, claiming that they now have "nuclear weapons" or are planning to make them.

but don?t even have electricity,

They have plenty of elecricity. This photograph, again, was taken in a blackout drill, as part of war preparations. No sensation.

That is what they are trying to do, but the U.S. is pressuring them to stop.

The DPRK alone has thwarted revisionism and the emergance of a new bourgeoisie, and has survived as a socialist country, thanks to the people-centred Juche Idea and its relative, Songun politics. Every other socialist country has failed to escape revisionism or in many cases full blown capitalist restoration. It has done this for an exceedingly long time, and it has done this in spite of being the greatest victim of imperialism this world has ever known. They had to rebuild the entire country: the only thing that was left after the American attacks was a chimney from a mill. This is not to mention America's continuing hostile policy. Anyway, the only reason it has survived is because of the great Juche idea and songun politics. "It is to their credit that, despite these disasters, despite the continuing US economic embargo, and despite efforts among some nations to delay food and other aid in the hopes the current government will collapse, they have managed to survive and revive their economy and provide a basic standard of living." (From the National Lawyer's Guild.) For this the Korean people thank the immortal Juche Idea of Kim Il Sung.

They had help rebuiling there county mostly from the Soviet Union, and i think China?

Thats more than just a blackout! Last year when we had hat east coast blackout, that was considered a major emergency. But the entire country of North Korea is without electricity, I'd call that pretty sensational. And thats not just an isolated incident:

North Korea has a major electricity problem that needs to be fixed.

I think its actually pretty pathetic when you can make out the DMZ border by the electricity lights on the South Korean side. Lil Kim! What are you doing to North Korea?

there are three possible reasons:

1 - its a US defence department thing, so it could be flawed :P
2 - North Korea has very limited access to electricity
3 - Maybe the people had passed their bedtime specified by Kim Jong II :P

I think who you talk to is very important when you are trying to get a clear picture of something.People who are antigovernment will say worse things than a person who is in the party or a supporter. The truth usually lies in between.
