Why is the CPB standing on a platform of withdrawal from the EU? What on earth has this got to do with communism? Getting in or getting out of the EU is not an issue that communists should be concerned about as it makes no difference. The UK will still be a capitalist country either way, as will every country inside the EU. Yet at the last general election the CPB polled 947 votes.

So what do they think will happen to their vote outside the EU? Do they think it will increase? If so how will this happen? Not that they are communist anyway, just another lets nationalise everything that has been privatised party. But I’m confused as to how they think support for these policies will increase in Britain after they exit the EU.

It's good that they're doing this. It is never possible to please some leftists. If you say, "Vote for left-wing Labour candidates", that's baaaaad. If you stand against Labour, then "You're stupid because you'll never win anyway." I'd say it's good that they try to use these elections to be visible and on a clear platform, although it will be difficult to get a word in, given UKIP's domination of this theme.

I still think trying to get a word in on this from the left is a good endeavour, though. The EU is one of the main institutions involved in the administration of the capitalist system. The EU is also a constantly recurring theme in UK politics, so all the more reason to get involved in that debate and explain the role of the EU against the obfuscation by UKIP and such.

But surely the truth is that whether the UK are inside or outside of the EU, the working class will continue to be exploited?

Any idiot could say the same about anything. For example a trotskyist would have said: "Hitler is a capitalist, so surely with Hitler the working class will continue to be exploited?"

Ja! That is something Marx would have said too, he'd have warned don't just get rid of Hitler, get rid of capitalism too and replace it with socialism!

LOL

Well the election is over and the commie party chastised the Labour party for being too right-wing and not offering an radical alternative to voters. So let’s see how their NO2EU campaign does! Lost deposits all round

Considering many EU leaders, bureaucrats , want to 'ban' all Communist parties, then I think withdrawal is a good idea.

Plus, the UK should have the power to make all its own laws.
