Benvenuti Comrades from around the globe,

As you probably know, Italy is not a Communist country and, judging by Italy Fascist past, it would seem unlikely that such a thing
would even be considered. But, the Democratic Part (of Italy) are working to create a better future for the Italian people. The
Democratic Party was founded on the 14th October 2007 by the merger of Two main parties: Democrats of the Left and Democracy is Freedom,
and as of 2009, the party is over 830,000 Comrades strong! So far, the party has 206 out of 630 seats in the Chamber of Deputies,
106 out of 315 in the Senate and 21 out of 72 in the European Parliment.

The History of the party can be traced right back to 1921 and the 'Communist Party of Italy (Partito Comunista d’Italia)". The Party
existed from 1921 to 1926 when it was outlawed by Benito Mussolini's Fascist rule. Despite this, in 1943, the party renamed to the
'Italian Communist Party (Partito Comunista Italiano)". The new party enjoyed success right up until January 1991 when it was dispanded.
And yet, a new party arose just only a Month after its dissoloution. 'The Democratic Party of the Left' took its place as the main
Communist party of Itly. But, yet again the party colloapsed and a new Party began: 'Democrats of the Left'.

Today, we are stronger than we have ever been before. You can see many of the Party's ideas in the link at the bottom of this page,
And I beg of you, if you can do anything to help this party - please do!

Ideas of the party (in Italian):

"Death is the solution to all problems. No man - no problem."
