I'm curious as to wether or not Yugoslavia ever attempted to gain Nuclear Weapons capability.
Did they embark on such a R&D endeavour and then halt for Foreign Concessions of some sort? Or did such a Project seem to costly and never materialise? "A shiny bauble from Capitalism is worthless when the cost is Children & the Elderly going hungry, The Infirm & Sick dying because of Greed & Education reduced to a token few to placate the masses with Illusions of freedom."
It did, like many other countries that had some sort of a nuclear research program. It was most intensive after 1948 and until destalinization. I think Tito ordered all of that to stop in the 60s.
Also the whole thing cost a lot.
Yes, I remember reading a very long and detailed article about the Yugoslav nuclear program somewhere a long time ago. If I remember I'll try posting it here.

Sorry about poor spelling etc, had no sleep. "A shiny bauble from Capitalism is worthless when the cost is Children & the Elderly going hungry, The Infirm & Sick dying because of Greed & Education reduced to a token few to placate the masses with Illusions of freedom."
