I found an official documentary put out by the Laotian Communist Party documenting the history of the nation through its struggles against French and American imperialism in its War for Liberation, to the current day.

The narrator's English is pretty bad.
The entire documentary is inoffensive PR, none of it particularly interesting. Its treatment of the country's "communist party" is akin to those of China and Vietnam: the whole thing comes across more like an association of shareholders than anything remotely revolutionary. And from my limited reading on Laos it would seem that "Marxist" ideology is cared about even less than in China and Vietnam. |
