It has some typical bull crap in there from the outside medi, but the two old Yugo guys they talk to are pretty adamant that life was better back than; hard to argue with those that were living inside the state above those who were not. Anyways, anyone like Morris or any other Yugoslav comrades been here?

they also talk to Tito's grandchildren.

Alright let me know what you think of the video itself when you get to it, I'd appreciate it a lot. I've always found Yugoslavia to be more interesting than any of the other ex-Socialist states, it just seemed to work better at keeping a "melting pot" together and I like Tito's idea of worker's self management, it is basically what I see Marxism as.

My main question surrounding Yugoslav-Nostalgia is simple; is it most popular in Serbia or is it all throughout the former Yugoslav nation-states? And, is there a political party in Serbia or elsewhere representing the want for reunification?

Cheers!

Yes, the two older guys are pretty yugonostalgic, but with a reason: they were members of the privileged caste in ex-YU, one of them was former Army general - almost like God in former Yu. If I was him, i would also cry for that times to return.

What is correct in this video is that back in the times we were really free to travel around, and we felt secure and recognized by the world as Yugoslavs. That was good side of Tito's autocratic rule. But national feelings of every single nation were strongly supressed, and every nation in Yugoslavia had a bit longer history than this
"artificial" super-state.

But other times, other rules. There is no yugonostalgia in Croatia, forget it.

alright, i checked the video. the last time i checked serbia they are a bit mixed between tito and chetniks. the last time i visited house of flowers i heard from the locals that only slovenes still visit it these days and take care for it. that is more or less understandable since tito wanted to preserve unity and had to make certain sacrifices to appease certain nations.

now i my country there's still some yugonostalgia left, although you could call it titonostalgia more. just last year we got a new tito's avenue in ljubljana for example. there are still a lot of communist statues and street named after communists as well, especially in western slovenia which owes its freedom to tito and partisans. this also divides our nation sadly since most of the left wing parties have positive view on tito's reign (soc dems for example even claim that under tito communism ended after informbiro crisis) while 90% of right wing parties are outright supporters of fascist white guards. leftist parties usually get their support from larger cities while right wing parties get theirs from villages since most of the white guards came from there.
