I have a quick question: What was Yugoslavia's policy on religious beliefs?

quick answer: not repressive enough. its property was either nationalised or redistributed and its power limited with red priests spreading socialism in churches. there were few attempts to abolish organised religion but all have failed sadly. church reacquired most of its lost assets and most of its influence.

I have another question that is more related to Yugoslavia than Relgion: How strict were drunk driving laws in Yugoslavia?

Nothing, really. There was just no where else to put this, and I want to have as few threads as possible.

So Moris I know you live in a Balkan state that was part of old Yugoslavia, but were you alive at all when it was still Yugoslavia?

Ok well if you put it that way I was alive for 6 months of the Soviet Union's existence. What year was it when Yugoslavia broke up anyways?

Oh I didn't realize that Yugoslavia broke up the same year as the USSR. I thought it was after Tito died in the 80's

hopefully no religion... Most wars are religiously based. Atheism cures all religious psychos who try to impede there views on others. I feel that science has proven everything. I get sick and tired of religious nuts like Bush n Cheney and Rumsfeld... Once a military man for Rumsfeld stated "Donald Rumsfeld does what God tells him to do in war." WHat a moron right? God has never came down and told the Bush Admin to invade Iraq for oil...Nor has he ever came down ever... Science kicks religions ass...(not to offend anybody, im an old school socialst and a confident atheist)

Atheism is a religion just as much as christianity.

I doubt Yugoslavia would have broken up without the collapse of the USSR -and if it had, there's no way the Soviets would tolerate NATO bombing and invasion of a European country, and NATO wouldn't have the balls to even think of doing what they did in our timeline.

on an interesting side note, america did not want yugoslavia to collapse. in fact they were threatening with military action should we dare to leave the federation. they were too busy with their other wars to afford another open front on the balkans.

I mean, why didn't they want Yugoslavia to collapse?
