Mongolia was a communist state during the Cold War era right?

A puppet of the Soviet Union. I read that it was established after troops from the Mongolian Peoples Party and the Soviet Union drove out the Chinese (Republic of China) and White Russian troops.

And it was a 'puppet' because that's what HOI2 says when you click on the diplomacy tab for Mongolia.

IT was a puppet state. because the soviet union used it unfairly to gain ground against China. They positioned troops along the mongolia/china border. I like mongolia, i think its agreat country. To me its sad that as communists we have to fight but i guess that is what happens.

You are seriously making no sense. It was a puppet because it provided Soviet troops a strategic advantage against China? The two may be related, but certainly not indicative of each other. Not every country that helps another country militarily is it's puppet.

Are you referring to the Sino-Soviet split? Mongolia became a socialist country in the early 1920's. Way before the PRC was even founded.

yes i mean the split. sorry i didnt say. I have read some old mongolian text that i found stating that china was wrong in accusing the soviet union of tyring to gain ground. China in turn called the soviet union imperialistic for land grabbing.

It's simply ridiculous that Chinese and Russian Communists have had, and still have, such argues with one another.
