DPRK national day marked in Vientiane

LAST Friday evening, The Democratic People’s Republic of Korea’s (DPRK) Charge d’Affairs, Song U Kang, and his Embassy staff held a reception at the Lane Xang Hotel in Vientiane to celebrate the 57th anniversary of the DPRK.
Guests at the reception included Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Somsavat Lengsavad, Public Health Minister, Ponemek Dalaloi, State Control Committee of the Party Central Committee Chairman, Vaenthong Luangvilay, deputy foreign ministers and a number of senior officials from Laos and DPRK.
Speaking at the reception, Mr Song highlighted the progress of the socio-economic development of the country over the past 57 years under the great leadership of the Workers Party of Korea.
