Some wikipedia information: "Bolek and Lolek are two Polish cartoon characters from the TV animated series by the same title. They are based on Władysław Nehrebecki's sons and were partially created by native German Alfred Ledwig before being developed by Władysław Nehrebecki and Leszek Mech. They first appeared in an animated film in 1964. The names of the two characters are diminutives of Bolesław and Karol. In English, the cartoon was distributed as Jym & Jam and Bennie and Lennie. Some episodes were seen as part of Nickelodeon's Pinwheel. In all-time Polish ranks of kids' cartoons, it is placed first. The series were popular in many countries, and was the only animated movie allowed to be broadcast by Iranian television just after the revolution of 1978. The following cities in Poland: Olsztyn, Zielona Góra, Kwidzyn, and Ostrów Wielkopolski have a street named after the two characters." It ran between 1963 – 1986 and was also extremely popular in other Communist countries. Enjoy!
