https://videosenglish.telesurtv.net/vid ... old-china/ Premier Xi has just recently announced a rejection of Deng's so called "socialism with Chinese characteristics " , which in my view has been more like corporatism , and instead plans on making a gradual transition to a more socialist economic system . I suppose that the primary reason why he has decided not to make an immediate , and drastic change to a command economy is to avoid the experience of Venezuela . So he seeks to transition over an extended period of time , so that it doesn't create too much of a shock to the economy , and hopefully will not be met with resistance from the business class . That's my impression anyway , for what it's worth .
