If you look past the mass killings he was actually a good leader. He could arguably be the best Soviet leader that there was. So what are your opinions on him?

1.) NOTHING WILL FORGIVE THE KILLINGS OF MILLIONS OF PEOPLE
2.) He exiled one of my all time favorite heros; Trotsky.
3.) He fragged up US and USSR relations, he could've made the world end. Even though Kruschev made it worst, Stalin ruined it.

No I believe that was Harry S. Truman. You see Franklin Roosevelt understood Stalin and would have been willing to work with him after the war. But due to FDR's untimely death in early 1945, it was left to Truman to deal with the USSR, and he completely screwed it up.

Millions huh? Lets see some evidence

In case you're just pulling crap out of your ass let me tell you that I've done some thorough searching. The number executed stands at around 700 000. Definetly not millions.

Stalin only killed 600,000 people and sent 3 million to camps.

Trotsky was a social fascist and a traitor. He wanted a war with all capitalist countries.

No he didn't. The capitalists wanted to destroy the USSR at it's birth.

How is that fascist? Fascists help capitalists not attack them.

This has nothing to do with Stalin. Back at the beginning Stalin was a pretty low-ranking member. He had little to no effect on the early days of the October Revolution.

This is incorrect. Stalin may not have been famous among the general population in the way that Lenin and Trotsky were, but the inner circle of the Bolshevik leadership certainly knew who Stalin was. He was a significant Bolshevik leader from about 1910 onwards, and was among the top half dozen or so Bolshevik leaders at the time of the Revolution. He was the editor of 'Pravda' and was responsible for formulating and propagating the Bolshevik political position during the revolutionary period. This is why he was embarrassed when Lenin overturned Bolshevik orthodoxy with his 'April Theses', and had to hastily revise 'Pravda's editorial position. He may not have had a very glamorous role in the October Revolution, but he was no wallflower either.

Ok the stuff about killing FDR is just stupid.

First off I said that FDR would have worked with Stalin, and that could have avoided the Cold War right there. Second off I think that Roosevelt was the best president in US history. So saying you want to kill him makes no sense especially since he died in 1945.

- Winga. This is a serious discussions board. If you want to make silly comments, USSR related or not, please confine them to the Cafe Mir board - that's what it's for. No one's "stressing out", just pay attention to the rules. Repeated one-liners with no relevant commentary is a card-able offense.
