Thanks for the personal remarks there... It always warms my heart when a topical discussion is turned into a personal attack, especially in an insubstantiated one-line post!

Had I the energy or inclination to pursue this, It could successfully be argued that your thinking me ignorant based on my post in actual fact only exemplifies your own ignorance...

None of these conspiracy theories add up to anything, and your claims about Soviet superiority are clearly biased jingoistic crap. Don't be such nationalists - I mean, are we going to see a post like this next:

erm... excuse me...

1) "None of the conspiracy theories add up to anything"... in YOUR OPINION.

2) "Claims about Soviet superiority are biased jingoistic crap"... I make no such claims...

Thanks.

In response I'm minded to quote one particular remark from the above article.

"and distorted from the simple expectations of the hoax believers"...

1) AT NO POINT do I claim to be a "hoax believer"... as you will see who actually read the post... to quote from it...
"I'm not saying that I believe it was faked, just that it is possible"

2) The wiki article (certainly on the photograph question) seems to take the line that the "hoax camp" views on likely shadows & light distribution are overly-simplistic, and that NASA scientists who "debunk" these claims are simply more knowledgeable about the science involved, and therefore they should be believed...

This is blatantly "my dad's bigger than your dad" type reasoning, and I put forward that to set store by this is naive.

Once again, everyone is free to believe what they choose....
I'm not putting forward any set of views as fact...
All I'm saying is that I believe it is POSSIBLE that the moon landing could have been faked.

Of course it is POSSIBLE that the Moon landings were faked. Many things are POSSIBLE. All you can do is weight the evidence...the OVERWHELMING evidence in favor of the landings being real, against really NO evidence, or 'evidence' of a highly dubious nature, for the contrary. So yes, it is possible the Moon landings were some elaborate hoax to fool the world...but highly, highly improbable.

Probablity that you can fly to the Moon - 0%
Probability you are a crude igniorant asshole incapable of grasping he's wrong- 110%
No wait it's impossible anyone could ever be as ignorant as you are. The real amazing thing is people as full of shit as you actually exist. Learn to use your little brains and not just to mindlessly parrot whatever garbage your master feeds you. GET A LIFE. IT WAS ONLY A TV SHOW!

And now you need to use personal attacks? Maybe you provide us some more "proofs" that moon landings where faked than iditiock personal attacks.

About Fake moon landing ...

Could be possible, in fact, radiation should kill all guys too far from the earth protection. But some scientist say that maybe the US got luck and send the apollo mission during a minimal activity solar cylce (and they say that is luck because in the 70's no one know about solar radiation far from earth).

So, it could be a fake moon landing ... but what about the guys ? Do they wait days around the earth to come-back to earth with fakes moon rocks ?
IF it was true, do Soviet Radar detect US saturne 5 rocket trip ?

Sorry for my english comrad, I hope that you understant what I mean.
But you could disagree

The moon landings weren't faked. Or at least there is a 99.999999999% certainty that they weren't.

If they were, the Soviets would have picked up on it fairly quickly and made a big deal out of it.

I find it hilarious that American accomplishments are so doubted by some of the folks on this site. I can understand why some dislike the nation, but to buy into obvious lies just because you want to believe them is kind of silly.

I agree with you but, could the soviet detect US rocket trip ? Do soviet get a "space radar" in 1969 ? Had they view where was Apollo 11 ?

No one on the other side of Iron Curtain wanted to see Red Moon.

Americans were already humiliated by the fact that Soviets made first manned space flight, and they didnt want another humiliation to happen.

And Red Moon if something would have been a big one.

I wonder how you arrive at that percentage. I'd suggest it's just a number you pulled out of your arse. You are not in a position to say the moon landings were or were not faked... that's my point... only a very few people on the planet are in that position of certainty...

Nil wrote:

I find the ignorance & blind faith in government of the vast majority of the American population to be hilarious myself...

For the last time... i do NOT want to believe these claims, and I do NOT believe they are true...

I just find it an interesting discussion... However, as is so often the case, I come up against statements like "most of the world believe it so it must be true" which is a ridiculous argument...

Most of the world believed that the earth was flat for thousands of years...
