Still in the atmosphere of Sukarno's month, I'd like to share some of Sukarno pics to S-E. Hope you enjoy, comrades!

Here, Kim Il Sung received an orchid from Sukarno that named after him, Kimilsungia (later become national flower of DPRK). According to wikipedia and national history archive:

Quote:
According to the Pyongyang-published book Korea in the 20th Century: 100 Significant Events, Kim Il-sung travelled to Indonesia to meet with his counterpart, Sukarno. Kim was taken on a tour of the Bogor Botanical Garden, where:
he stopped before a particular flower, its stem stretching straight, its leaves spreading fair, giving a cool appearance, and its pink blossoms showing off their elegance and preciousness; he said the plant looked lovely, speaking highly of the success in raising it. Sukarno said that the plant had not yet been named, and that he would name it after Kim Il Sung. Kim Il Sung declined his offer, but Sukarno insisted earnestly that respected Kim Il Sung was entitled to such a great honour, for he had already performed great exploits for the benefit of mankind.

Talking with Ho Chi Minh in Cipanas Presidential Palace ( March 4 1959 ). Both were declared the national independence of their own country at the same month and year, August 1945.

USSR President, Kliment Voroshilov, visiting Indonesia in 1957. My grandma still remembered the historical events:

" He ( Voroshilov ) had a pinky face, just like a pig (very, very apologize, she really said like this). At that time all of school were closed for one day in order to welcoming him. Main streets were crowded with humans. Students and all the people along the road extended a warm welcome when Voroshilov came with the presidential convoy. "

Mao received Sukarno in Beijing, September 1956. The special relationship with China ended after 1965 failed coup.

Very interesting pics, taken from LIFE Magazine. Sukarno with Nikita Khrushchev.

Those are awesome pictures, comrade. I like the one with Mao the best because they both look like they're having a good time.

I like how casual these pictures look. Especially the one with Khruschev helping Sukarno light his cigarette.

I get more respect for Sukarno thanks to you, VolksPolizei. Really awesome. I don't like Sukarno's idea of guided democracy, but his regime was a 10000 times better than the corrupt Suharto's regime.

You mean like the vanguard? I think a vanguard was a mistake, so obviously I don't like guided democracy either.

I think that he represents a start in the growing revisionism of the CCP. I don't dislike him, I just don't like him that much.

Sukarno was very stylish. I also agree with Dagoth, Guevara looks shot in that picture. I think he may have been exhausted from travel? Perhaps it was after he got off a long flight?

It could be, Saudara. Because, I've read that before he visiting Indonesia, he met with another non-align movement leaders in different countries.
Your assumption is possible
