On Wikipedia (I know, I know) on the Coyoacán page it says that's where Trot's grave and house is. Is his house actually viewable then?
Now what is this…

Well as Marx's childhood home in Trier, and I believe his home in London, are museums today I'd guess so.

I think his London home is the Library.

I think Ho Chi Minh wanted to be cremated, and have his ashes scattered about Vietnam. IIRC.

All three, Ho Chi Minh, Lenin, and Mao wanted to either be buried or cremated. Don't know about Stalin and Kim Il-Sung. Well I suppose Kim Il-Sung wanted to his body to be seen by his worshipers.

Not if they want it. I mean was mummifying the pharaohs disrespectful?

I did clarify that I would probably make an exception for those who didn't express desire to be buried like an ordinary person. Whenever I visit the DPRK I will take the chance to visit the Kumsusan Memorial Palace if I am so permitted.

I believe so. I can't find a really reputable source but Trotsky's wiki does have a picture of his grave.

F*ck I wouldn't want to be on display. I wouldn't want to be buried in the Kremlin either. I'd want to be buried in some old overgrown cemetary.

No more morbid than touring Europe to see various battlefields. Mostly it's a gesture of respect to our revolutionary counterparts throughout the world. For this reason I might visit the tombs of Lenin and Ho, though I doubt it.

Morbid? You think places like Auschwitz, etc should just be forgotten about?

It's much more than just visiting "graves..." they all have some importance.

I agree with Red_Son it's a sign of respect to great communist leaders. Also I see Trotsky was buried in Mexico then.

fragging this. Its been over eighty years since he died and its long overdue that he be shown the respect he deserved.

I don't think there are either. There aren't even any in Mexico. So we'll buy it in the US and we can eat on the way.
