Syria is a legitimate government. So is Iran. Syria has her own criminal code which criminalizes terrorism. Syria was once lenient to terrorists. They just give them something to do like gardening and the like until the terrorists have become so ferocious. Man, what do you do if you are 'cornered with your back against the wall'? I run amuck too. You can see how deceptive terrorists are here in Canada who alleged that they were tortured in Syria. Instead of filing criminal charges against Assad and file civil cases for personal injuries, they sue the government for money. It's like deliberately doing something crazy that caused them to be tortured then portraying the good guys 'bad'. They triumphed into saying that good is evil, evil (terrorists) is good. Sums up the case.
Obama wants the US to look bad. That is why he went against Assad. Who would support USA's foreign policy if she keeps on subverting legitimate governments? I am not saying I support USA. I am just saying that despite the goodie-goodie image that Obama projects, he has iniquities kept inside his brain.

Ba'athism is an interesting world-view. It's anti-imperialist and anti-capitalist, pan-arab and secular.
And the Ba'athists dominate the Syrian parliament democratically elected by all its people. It is indeed a legitimate government. Even assuming I don't agree with the ideology, I cannot do anything. The people have spoken.

Having communists in his government not only makes Assad a legitimate president but also credible and representative.

Bashar is not a Marxist, we know this but ba'athism is a socialist ideology and are friendly to communists (apart from the Iraqi experiment with Saddam Hussein which was the absolute opposite of ba'athism).
He is a man of reason, justice and respect. An anti-imperialist, a defender of minorities and friend of all progressives. |
