The only good American CP. All the others are trapped in the past.

They're the only party to my knowledge that isn't revisionist. One of their candidates ran for mayor here during the last election.

If they aren't revisionist how come they hail Cuba as a "revolutionary socialist" country?

Compared to the U.S. and the rest of the world, Cuba is a "revolutionary socialist" country.

Compared to the US Zimbabwe and Transnistria are "revolutionary socialist" countries.

Better than being part of some tiny Trot "party".

@loz: You are a reactionary for attacking existing socialist states no question about it. You're just like a Trot, dismissing and attacking any group who doesn't meet your ridiculous notions of what socialism are. There is a difference in being critical and attacking.

Brezhevites at least had the formal decency to put up pictures of Lenin.

Quite correct, however i don't think that there are any "existing socialist states".

My notions? Nonsense. Socialism can go forward and it can (and, in every historical instance, did) go back. Which is what's going on in Cuba and DPRK.

What the hell even is a brezhnevite? That's just an empty word with negative connotations. What could anything the PSL does or believes link them to Brezhnev in any way?

Brezhnevism is about supporting "Realsozialismus" and hailing countries from Cuba to Romania to DPRK as "socialist". It's a rotten "ideology". Status-quo thought.
PSL hails Cuba as a "revolutionary socialist country" which it of course isn't and never has been.

It's a pretty dim view if your support of a party hinges on what countries they defend as socialist. That doesn't constitute a separate ideology. That's just sectarianism.

There really is no other revolutionary socialist party in this country that has actually done more and isn't bogged down in all kinds of sectarian and intra-party bitching.

Yet its own population exiled and executed all who ruled in the Batista regime? If that isn't revolutionary than what is?

Why even create a thread asking people's opinion on something when you don't agree nor show any evidence towards your views?

It implies that they have different (read:anti-Marxist) views of what socialism really is and what it's supposed to be like.

It was indeed a bourgeois "revolution" supported by the US to overthrow another bourgeois dictator.

You really should read their program. It reflects their Marxism well enough.

I would if i didn't have to pay 10 dollars for it...

PSL is the only party i know of that wants people to pay just to read their program. Ridiculous.

But their articles show their "Marxism" well enough.

Not the book, of course! Just their statement of principles. It's readily available on their website.

Read the first few paragraphs, not interested in reading the whole post. He makes a point, yes Cuba turned to the Soviets for help, but where else could they have turned? Cuba was unable to lift itself out of poverty, it lacks the natural resources to do so. And it was not a Soviet controlled state, one could say Cuba was perhaps the most independent of all non-Soviet states. The Soviets were not very enthusiastic about Cuba's involvement in third world conflicts.
