Of those listed only Hoover really did a bad job. All the others were pretty successful presidents.

Most evil? It's a toss-up between Nuke'em Truman and Andrew Johnson (responsible for another century of legalized oppression against blacks), although Reagan was a plenty evil motherf***er, too.

Most incompetent? They ain't got nuthin' on Hoover, who happily and passively watched the country plunge itself into the Great Depression. George W Bush's failed wars and his economic policies facilitating the Second Great Depression are worth a Honorable Mention, too.

Worse for the US, or worse for the World?

For the US, I suppose Reagan did a successful job, but for the world he was a feckin disaster.
I suppose in that sense Bush was worse on both criteria.

Personally... brick by brick.
And he invented the vacuum cleaner and he ran the FBI.

What?! I guess it depends on what you mean by 'successful'. Reagan was successful when one considers that he served two, rather than just one, terms as others before him (like Jimmy Carter) did, but apart from that...?
