I dont know if there a thread like this already posted but ill go ahead and ask anyways. what religion is everyone here? I am an atheist (naturalist) in every possible way if that makes sense...

P.S. I only included major religions i could think of at the time, sorry if i forgot yours, i thought id apologize in advance for whomever that would apply to

P.P.S. I kinda added Scientology in there just for the heck of it.....

P.P.P.S. I added Buddhism, even though that is considered more of a spiritual belief or ascetic-like way of living, oh well

P.P.P.P.S. I now realize that under, most replied threads in votes and polls is one about "what religion are you". I suspected such. Oh well, oops. I guess its nice to have a new one every one in a while, for new people and people who like talking about it. I dont know.....

When I was reading Alan Watt's works he uses a lot of Hindu philosophy. I don't necessarily agree with it but I found it interesting.

I'm an Atheist but their are some ideas and concepts that I like from Hinduism, Buddhism, Islam, and the Baha'i Faith. But since I don't believe in a God/Gods or an afterlife i'll just vote Atheist.

Hell Yeah!!

This thread needs more religious war.

Funnily enough I'm not really in the mood to kick the hornet's nest just at the minute, so I'll just say Atheism and try to work myself into belligerent mode for later.

If you dont want to believe in anything thats up to you, but when you say to someone they are wrong, but lack evidence to prove it your an idiot. Thats why I hate militant atheists, that and they're usually dbags by nature. People who just dont believe in god? I dont blame them, god can be a pretty big asshole some times, and thats why its a belief.

You can't prove the existence of God, and you can't prove the non-existence of God. That's why, philosophically speaking, agnosticism is the only belief that is justified. However, if someone were never exposed to religion, they would not be religious. Like me, I didn't know what a Christian or Atheist was until I was 10 or 11. I flirted with religion for a little bit, but I could not relate to it on an intellectual or cultural level. IMO religion is a cultural aspect of life, something not universal and which you should not try to convert anyone to, because you don't try to convert people to your specific culture either. That's why there are so many sects and subsets of religion, because culture cannot and will never be universal. Even the way which someone interprets a book is influenced by their culture.

These problems lead me to believe that the Abrahamic God does not exist, even if a god does.

I agree that Agnosticism is the only justified philosophical belief but Atheism just seems more logical to me personally, par tof that is that I am somewhat "anti-theism" due to the fact that the issue has caused so many conflicts throughout history and I am against the pyschological impacts of religion on society. I know that is a very generalized statement but i just thought id simplify it
