The link to the 1921 set and the 1939 set is the same. It leads only to the 1921 set.
Thanks for pointing that out. It's been corrected.
That's some good stuff and I've saved some of it.
Loz you are a legend!
By the way, it may be old news to some of you, but there is a site with some more interesting posters on it here: Museum Of Russian Posters Also there is some interesting (non-soviet) Cover images, Articles and some Photo Essays at the Time Magazine site: Time Magazine (Just do a search for Communism, Russia, Stalin, Trotsky ...etc.) Time magazine Photo Essays (There are some interesting collections of images on the Russian Revolution, Ak47s and other topics.) This was a personal favourite from the cover images: JULY 1953 ![]()

I used to have a screensaver I made with Time magazine covers. I think I'll make another one with these posters.
Edit: I love these 80s ones - I wish I had physical copies.
+1,just to make it easier for newer members to see this...
I feel like this is something worthy of a sticky, at least in the propaganda section or something

Loz. Next time you want something moved from a forum, please ask the mod of that forum, not the one for the forum you want it moved to. Dagoth isn't able to move threads from anywhere except his own forums. FC.

The propaganda section ain't exactly fast-paced. For frag's sake the bottom thread in the section's last post was in 2008. If people care enough about it, it won't ever move.

I didn't even realize this was in propaganda

Not bad. The later posters just get me angry with all of the religious bullshit. Nevertheless, they're pretty good. I quite like the one in the second to last set of the rifle supporting a tree with "1917" on the banner connecting the two. Greatly symbolic of the consolidation of revolution and the military's lessening purpose. Shame it was published in the 80s when the Revolution was pretty much in its final phase of being dismantled.

Thanks a lot for posting this, Loz. I've only downloaded the 1920's stuff, but I will get the later stuff as well eventually. I just need to remember to get a flash drive or a DVD to copy all of this onto first.

Thank you very much, comrade Loz.

Does anyone else have the links to the rather large collection of soviet posters? I seen it at one point, but I didn't download them. Thank you for the help!
Richard PS. As an aside, would anyone buy t-shirts with poster-images on them? Sort of like what Red Buddha at Cafe Press does, but without the stupid link on the back of the shirt. ![]() |
