it is. but the problem is, it is not as idiot proof as the piston engine.

but the power you can get out of one is incredible.

if you do a bridge port on the they can make peak power at 11,000 to 9,000 rpm most rotary engines also have a 50 50 weight ditribution which is perfect but i wonder why no diesel wankels?

diesel needs compression in the 20:1 range. I'm not sure if the rotary can accomodate/.

or you could have 200 psi of boost but then youd need 4mm thick apex seals normal ones are only 2mm thick

I believe lada did some experiments with wankel engines in the 70s or 80s (only single rotor) and I think sachsenring tried a wankel engined trabant.

suzuki had a single rotor motorcycle in the 70's but it wasnt practical.norton f1's are the only good rotary engines on a bike i guess unless mazda has something to say about that
