Hello, I'm looking to buy Original Authenticated Soviet Orders and Medals, I would really like to start a Soviet collection.

Some of the orders and medals I would really like to have are -

Order of Lenin
Heroes of The Soviet Union
Heros of Socialist Labor
Order of The Red Star
Order of the Red Banner
From the Grateful Afghan People Medal
Order of Labour Glory
Order of Glory
Order of the Patriotic War

I know that some of these are hard to find, but I would really like to have ORIGINALS with as much research as possible.
These are very expensive and I don't plan on buying all of them right now, I plan on collecting them until I die.
If anyone knows where I could buy any of these please post links (NO FAKES / REPLICAS)

Thank you guys ; )

I personally think that it'd be best to take a look at some Russian online auction sites if you want originals...(but there's still many fakes around)...Google and Google Translate should do the trick.
But i think that it's actually illegal to bring out/export such historical items out of Russia...
Anyway it'll be an expensive sport, some of those medals fetch 20+k $ prices.

Yeah the more expensive ones will come in my later life after saving. I imagine a glass cabinet with all the Medals
and The Soviet Flag (I have one made in the 80s from the USSR) folded up in the case. It will be my life's work
and greatest accomplishment if it were to come true. I would really love to also own a real ISSUED WW2 Soviet Mosin–Nagant Rifle.

So much great History with the Soviet Union, and a lot of bad also. I really pride myself in it.

Here in the Ukraine it's very easy to buy most of the Soviet era medals and orders. Honorary titles such as Hero of Socialist Labor, Hero of the Soviet Union, and Mother Heroine are extremely hard to get due to their rarity and very high prices. It all depends on how much you're willing to pay. With enough money you can get anything here with relative ease. The Order of Lenin is also hard to get and I've never seen it other than in museums. Lenin, Stalin, and State prizes are also on the expensive side while the Order of Victory is completely impossible to get as there are less than 20 in the whole world. Everything else is easy to get as I will show you in a new thread I will hopefully make some time this week posting my own personal collection of such items. Check it out if you're interested. Other than that concerning how to get such items online I have no idea. Everything I have was bought on the local market here. So sorry about that comrade.

I collect Soviet Medals and Badges, extremely interesting and very beautiful art work on many.

Not all are extremely rare, as the other poster said, some are all but impossible to get, Hero Of The Soviet Union, original, is all but impossible to find. Order of Lenin is very difficult to get in the original. But many others are available, at least here in the US and from Russian sellers online.

The older the medal, the fewer awarded, the higher the price.

But still the former USSR was very prolific in producing medals and badges, so there are a multitude around. I particularly love the red enamel, the hammer and sickle ones.

There are very high quality reproductions, for example here in the US you can obtain a very good reproduction of Hero Of The Soviet Union for $50.

as a spontaneous gift for my girlfriend (who's big into Russian history) I picked up this little guy just a couple minutes ago off evilBay. It was labeled as "Soviet Pin Leningrad Hero City USSR badge". Anyone know anything about these? Apparently they were given out to various "Hero Cities" such as Leningrad...
