Hello all,

I recently acquired two very nice hats from Lithuania, an Ushanka winter hat and a Pilotka. The Pilotka is adorned with many pins, badges and patches; most of which I understand but there is one prominent pin I do not know the meaning of. It simply is the letters "CA" in the middle, much bigger than the other pins. It has a small tank pin either side of it, though I'm sure that is probably more for decoration than any sort of link.

Any help would be appreciated, thanks!

It most likely stands for "Soviet Army" "советская армия".

Usually I've only seen these letters on shoulder boards:

They come in pther patterns than these too.
