What books, films, tv shows, paintings ect., that aren’t banned should communists be prohibited from experiencing?
I only raise this topic due to responses in various threads about keeping cultures pure and suppressing reactionary cultural elements.
I have read the entire A dance to the music of time series of novels. I state this not to show up but to give an example as Anthony Powell was a fairly conservative man and I don’t think they that reading his novels did me any harm.
I just wonder if there is or should be a list of works of art & literature that are best avoided.

None, though the question might be more down to availability and affordability of certain things. £40-80 for a pop concert or up to £20 for a single CD classical music release or even interesting, newly published books selling for £80 a go currently prices many people out of experiencing aspects of culture that should be available to everyone and not just the well off. Mahler for the masses! A free market mechanism is simply incompatible with a lot of cultural and artistic activities, levels of state subsidy and charitable donations show this.
I am also not saying that the level censorship in previous socialist countries was completely justified, but there are many things that are thankfully illegal in most countries: images of child sex abuse and snuff films come to mind.
