if they had trabants in australia maybe they'd be cool. but we cant import cars that arent in production unless its brand new never been used
You can import any car you want as long as it's over 15 years old. This is why we are about to get a rash of Skyline GTR's imported from japan that were made in 1989
you from the states or australia? cos maybe in you're country it works like that: just like you can tape someone doing a crime without them knowing

About Eastern Bloc cars: they might not be state of the art, but they are bloody tough - my grandad's 30-so year old Moskvich makes a daily trip up a 500 m long winding road to his vineyard, bumps and all - when my dad tried it with a Ford Sierra, pristine condition, the bloody thing overheated, hte suspension creaked like hell and the car stopped 200 m away from its destination...so...
And the old Volgas - the ones made out of T-34 and KV-1 armour, those things are TOUGH - you need an anti-tank shell to knock them out...a firend of mt grandad had one, and back in the day (read 50s/60s) it was liable for call up as a military vehicle in case of a war... -"One of the lasses I know is a 32D...yes, I'm a horny, unsuccessful virgin." - LPC reveals all on MSN

Why does your grandfather live 500 miles (I assume the m stands for miles, as meters would be waaay too short) away from his vineyard? Is the 500m round trip or one way? because even if it's round trip, it would take him 10 hrs a day drivng at 50mph (not too likely on a bumpy and winding road).

He lives about 5 km away from the vineyard, but he drives those along well-tarmaced roads...only then he has to go up in the hills along a 500 METRE long winding road... -"One of the lasses I know is a 32D...yes, I'm a horny, unsuccessful virgin." - LPC reveals all on MSN
