I know a lot of people enjoy H. Bruce Franklin's introduction to "The Essential Stalin" as a great, short work laying out the case for Stalin. Unfortunately, the only scan previously available was of very bad quality.
I work with the APL and have just made a brand new scan of this work from my personal collection for an APL project, the Red Star Library. It's MUCH easier to read than the old, lo-res scan. Download my scan here: http://redstarlibrary.org/?p=955
I managed to get a paper copy. This is the best one volume of Stalin's works that is avaliable, I think. The theoretical works are nice, but the meat of the book for me are the transcipts of the party congresses from 1934 and 1939, complete with statistics. My only gripe is that there should have been more background on "Marxism and Linguistics" especially about N. Marr.
Still I am glad you made this avaliable. Thank you very much.
Thank you so much. This will be my next book read.
Soviet America is Free America!
Under communism, there is no freedom; you are not free to live in poverty, be homeless, to be without an education, to starve, or to be without a job |
