The elections will take place in Greece on May 6th this year.

Who has the highest chance of winning? Just how much support does the KKE have?

I feel that whoever wins will be friendly to Brussels and Berlin. As they aren't going to allow Greece to break free from the grip of the German banks, at least not without a hell of a fight.

What are some possible outcomes come May 6th?

BTW yes I realize I never really post.

Quote:
Greece exptects to have an eight-party parliament after the elections, if the estimates of the ALCO polling agency come true. According to the results, New Democracy will win 20.8% of the votes, and PASOK - 13.5%. The two parties now have a smaller percentage than those who have not yet decided for whom they will vote. They are 22% of the participants in the poll.

Third is the Communist Party with 8%. The Democratic Left is approved by 7.8% of the participants, Independent Greeks - 7.1%, the left coalition SYRIZA - 6%. 3.9% of the people said they would vote with the white ballot or their vote will not be valid. 11.6% said they would not vote.
A poll of Metron Analysis shows that the rate of PASOK fell by 2.5% compared with the result two weeks ago, when the party was headed by

Evangelos Venizelos. The results of this poll show an even more fragmented parliament, which will include ten parties. 20.8% of the participants said they would vote for New Democracy and 15% for PASOK. Third is SYRIZA with 11.5%, followed by the Independent Greeks of Panos Kamenos with 10.6%, the Communist Party with 10.5%, the Democratic Left with 9%. Particularly high is the percentage of participants approving the neo-Nazis Golden Dawn - 5.5%. Next are the Green Ecologists with 4.6% and LAOS with 3%.

The left parties (the KKE, Coalition of the Radical Left, Democratic Left) have a combined vote in opinion polls ahead of any of the other parties. The two establishment, pro-austerity parties will be lucky to hang onto Parliament.

The big question is what happens in the likely event that neither the Left, Establishment or Nationalist (and anti-austerity, anti-EU) Right are able to form a government?

I can see the situation in Greece getting much worse before it gets better. I have heard of there being armed militias formed by the neo-nazis. With such huge public discontent, I think that actual armed conflict in Greece is not out of the question, or unlikely.
