Aside from economic wisdom, the Chinese government has just made a good move on the social level. http://www.china.org.cn/english/2004/Jul/101571.htm

No, hehe, I'm not trying to build any kind of Nationalism, as it is inherently irrational and arbitrary. However, what I am trying to do is open people's eyes as to how good the PRC is, in part because Ive noticed some anti PRC posts. And they arent ignoring poverty, its just this particular event is focused on the another way peoples lives can be improved.

So why don't they actually focus on the cause of the class struggle? As a good maoist comrade of mine said, "at least they aren't lying about jumping off the maoist path."

China has been capitalist since Deng Xiaoping took over in the months after Chairman Mao Tse-Tung's death in 1976. Millions of revolutionaries (such as the Gang of Four) within the Chinese Communist Party and the People's Liberation Army were imprisoned and killed, and the law of profit and the law of value were placed in command of the economy by the end of the 1970's. You can learn how this happened here:

I go into depth about China under Mao Tse-Tung here: http://www.soviet-empire.com/ussr/viewtopic.php?t=143

Also check out the link in my previous post, there are articles that go into great detail about how much suffering there has been in China since 1976.

I met a student from China in my university the other day.Well I was curious to find out about his political beliefs..so I started off by talking about visiting china..places to visit..tourist spots...then I talked about history a little.....the emperor....the mongols....and then......sun yat sen..chiang kai shek and mao.....and then about communism.

My evaluation :
1. nothing communist about him
2. he believes in capitalism
( " Chinese believe that being wealthy is good " he claims )
3. he prefers imported goods from Japan / US / Korea / etc.
4. he's quite a nationalist (proud of his country)
5. very money minded (wants to work in xingjiang and HK for better salary)

-I chatted with a Chinese girl online too about her views and she
doesnt care about politics but is a member of the communist party.

It's funny how the true communists are living in non-socialist countries.

They;re getting ready to work on that, Bruzgis! Right after they take more manufacturing jobs frome the US by artificially lowering costs of labor by reducing wages 47%-85%.

All that will mean is more big factories and more big factories means the the 3% percent of China's water that is drinkable well won't be. Oh!!! and lowering wages will only bring the people who have jobs to a lower standered of living.

There is one positive, however , the shacks may have a little more class.

this whole idea of having a world of socialism, why not just have countries?

there should be a place where both pro-socialists, and pro-capitalists can go.

in the case of the cold war, it was either the warsaw pact of NATO countries.

a second cold war would be interesting, as long as they were still too scared to launch the nukes or start any major war.

Why? A true Socialist would never be content knowing that somewhere in the world, his Comrades were being exploited by the bourgeoisie.
