I am a little confused to as why my picture has been removed.

By orders of the admin, I have to inform you that your avatar has been removed because it violated the rules. Avatars featuring Hitler and other high-ranking Nazis are not allowed here.

This confuses me because there is no rule(literally or loosely) on this forum which specifically prohibits the use of evil doers on a profile picture.

Furthermore the image in question is neither derogatory nor supportive of the Nazi movement, Adolf Hitler, and is infact a satire based on him escaping to argentina from a french magazine. If this has been a problem why wasn't the image in question removed from a post I made over 1 month ago in propaganda, and why did it take over a week for it to be removed from my profile? If this was a standing SE policy ALL of the active mods have had a month as well as a week respectively to take action on such image?

I would appreciate an answer from an objective moderator/administrator since the one who took the action in question harbors differing opinions.

Thank you.

please source your other two quotes, and I ask again, an objective moderator/admin to take comment on this matter.

Just to settle one debate before it starts - Hitler is never going to have an avatar on this forum.

Why you got this particular card, the answer is that you used Hitler as your avatar, something which is verboten. I'm kinda surprised you didn't get a red for that, but it must've been your first offence.

On the other hand, the Emo Hitler avatar I made (posted above) was denied on that grounds that Hitler avatars can not be allowed under any circumstances.

I just view the Hitler avatar as something we'd rather not deal with and would rather not provoke anything.

I didn't know it was a standing policy on PoFo, but I think it's a pretty good policy.

And as you're well aware Trentski, we have very little tolerance for any nazi propoganda, nazi stuff, jew hating, etcetera due to past difficulties.

It really doesn't matter if it is used ironically or jokingly. We wouldn't let you use the N-word jokingly, and having a Hitler avatar is basically the same way. It gets into the stuff where people will say, "Oh, I don't like the Swastika and Nazi's, but I admire their use of propoganda and images" (Surrrrreeeeeeee.... If you've played Cybernations, you know how full of shit most of those -removed- are). I know you're not this way, but allowing you to do it, but not a new member would just set an annoying double standard.
No really, I swear, I'm not homosexual.

As the person who removed the picture, I feel obligated to answer. I personally do not have problems with Hitler avatars or any other avatar as long as they are appropriate (I.E. not featuring pornography, hate speech, or any other thing that violates the rules), but this is not my policy, this is Siberian Fox's policy. Ultimately, since the consensus was that the avatar was forbidden, I did what I had to do and removed it.
