I'm quite impressed with Iran's armed forces because it's the best in the Middle East and they're not reliant on US military technology like the Gulf Arab states. Instead they make their own weapons or purchase them from Russia.

Looks pretty bad actually. Basic firearms are non-standardized. The UAV they showed looks like a Tu-143 with a bomb strapped to it. The APC with UN markings is an M113, and no other armored vehicles are really shown. I'm not a fan of Iran's military because they're so far behind even other third world states.

So North Korea is s member of the UN too but you don't see UN vehicles in their parades. It just seems kind of against what the UN is to have vehicles in a military parade.

Why? The troops belong to the state (Iran in this case) not to the UN. The United Nations Organization does not own troops of its own. So, as any other iranian troop, they can parade.
Argentina usually parades its UN troops, whenever there's a military parade.

Yeah but the Jews managed to defeat the Arabs in every other war you have had with them...Especially in the 1967 6-day war.

look the last war or battle between egypt and iran it was since the iraqi iranian war no war between them happened after that,, but there are alot of secret operations takes place from time to time such as the black bird which the egyptian strike team killed the leader of iranian Militia (which is a branch of the iranian army in lebanon) and his full team , am not here to say we r better or we r tough am just saying iran doesn't have the best forces in middle east .

The Iranian military has learned a lot from its experience with Iraq. It has advanced a lot technologically and in doctrines since that time. I'm not saying they could take on the U.S. but they certainly are one of the best militaries in the Middle East. They also have a pretty strong fighting spirit which is something modern military thinkers tend to underplay as a consideration in modern warfare.

Actually the Iranian Forces during the Iran-Iraq War had some of the latest and most up to date military equipment in the world thanks to the Shah. Their F-14 Tomcats far outclassed anything the Iraqi Air Force could put up. What made the Iranian Forces efforts such a mess, was do to the purges of the Islamic Regime. Between 1979 and the start of the war, and continuing during the war, the Islamic Regime arrested or murdered the vast majority of the senior leadership of the Shah's Iranian Military that did not flee the country. The Iraqi forces didn't have to cut of the head of the Iranian Military, the Iranian Islamic Revolutionaries did that for them. This was largely do to the fact that most of the Iranian Military's Officer Corp and NCO Corp from the Shah era had been trained in the United States or worked closely with US Military Personnel, as such they were deemed traitors. If the Islamic Revolutionaries had shown a bit more mercy to the Shah's Officer and NCO Corp, the war may have not taken as long nor ended the way it did. Saddam may have been killed by Iranian Forces in the early 80s if the purges had not taken place.
Whenever death may surprise us, let it be welcome if our battle cry has reached even one receptive ear and another hand reaches out to take up our arms.
