How does this belong to forums "red army" section ?

BTW soon our armed forces will be joke. Their lack of funding means that after 10 years we are using mostly museum weapons .
![]()
Hardly so.
![]() What would that gun be used for? Like an anti-armour weapon or something? ![]() "By what standard of morality can the violence used by a slave to break his chains be considered the same as the violence of a slave master?" - Walter Rodney

How does the finnish army solve the logistic problems created by a mixture of Soviet and western weapons?
![]()
There are no logistic problems. Finland was a huge costumer of Soviet exports and bought much of her arms from there before the collapse of the Soviet Union, in order to keep the relations good.
Much weaponry is now bought from the west and they are replacing the Soviet arms. Finland is still a costumer of eastern exports and can buy military material from there without problems. The army has large reserves of munitions and material needed by the Soviet arms.

Sorry for not making the question clear, I meant the aspects of management and training, Soviet and western system have different standards, components and tools are not interchangable, even the sizes of screws are different, how does the Finish armed force over come it?
![]()
Well:
Quote: The training in Finnish Defence Forces is good. Quote: That is hardly a problem. As I said, the Defence Forces has large reserves of munitions and material (components ect) needed by the Soviet arms. And the Soviets arms are being replaced by western arms. Quote: I thought the premise of a tank is to be unstoppable. Not worrying how easy it would be to escape from the inside of one.... a tank is an offensive weapon. it is a defeatist prospective to worry about evacuating from one... |
