One of the guys at the table commented that in USA poor people are the poorest of the world, in a way, for a guy in Biafra has never seen a supermarket, but a homeless man in USA does see every day 500.000 $ dollars cars, and people spending 1k$ in clothing.

What do you think?

Yes, isn't it wonderful? As for the poorest in the world, that's just a matter of opinion. I'm sure that a kid in a sweatshop wouldn't agree with you. And as for the two class system, if we didn't believe that, we wouldn't be communist, unfortunately this is the problem. America and Americans have been indoctrinated to think that "Classes don't exist" and that if they do there are more than 2 of them and that things simply have to be that way. Wonderful wonderful world we live in here. Why don't people just open their eyes and see that a small number of capitalists are screwing everyone else on the planet? Short rant complete.... feh.

It's an interesting idea. But equally a begger in the USA/UK will probably get more than a begger in Harare.
Poverty is poverty, and no matter where you are, you will see people better and worse off.It certainly is all relative.

HEhe yeah i agree with kizhevatov..
But i think the beggers in richer countries are more sad....
because they have to put up with all the luxuries that are displayed infront of their the developing countries they just witness other ppl living a better life...not luxurious.
