Communist Movements in the United States?

First things first. This is my first actual time joining a forum (so forgive me for my transgressions). My great exodus towards online productivity has lead me to this forum where I have spent much time reading. I thought it was time to join.

But anyways. I live in the "Olde South" of the US. As such, finding leftists (or at least non-republicans) is of great importance to me. So basically what I am asking is where is a Communist in Sc supposed to find Communist organizations in the United States? I have been Red since a fairly young age, and trying to find a movement/group/ANYTHING has been a goal of mine.

The CPUSA isn't that great. The RCP must be hiding from me (or they don't exist). The Democratic-Socialists are not something I am totally into.

IS there anything Red (I mean the REAL Red) in this country?!

If you're living in the south, you're going to have a hard time finding a viable leftist party at all. You'll have to go to New York or the West Coast or something. Although, your results may vary depending on where exactly you are.

Leftist Parties in the USA

I'd also check out the Party for Socialism and Liberation. Best of luck though finding an active communist group in the South though.
