Entertainment And Censorship Under Stalin

What was the sort of entertainment available under Stalin? Could you get Western music? It is a fact that there was jazz music under Stalin but it was later put down in the 1940s. Could you get other forms of Western entertainment or was it generally mostly Soviet?

What about wider censorship under Stalin?

I don't know what the official stance was, though I imagine there were limitations.

But even if there weren't, it might have been difficult to get western music etc, as there were less global distribution networks, and the ones that existed for the most part weren't available to the USSR.
