I only found out that Singapore had a segment of the Berlin Wall yesterday when my friend was inviting me to go have a look at it. I heard that the story is that this guy bought these slabs back then when the wall fell but couldn't find any countries who would buy the segment off him for display. His wife who lived in Singapore asked him "Why not have it displayed in Singapore?" And that was that.
"A segment of the Berlin Wall is on permanent display at the Bedok Reservoir Park (in Singapore). The art on it is not graffiti but the work of an artist depicticting two different types of rulers."
P.S. - Apologies if this is in the wrong section, I'm not sure whether to place it under "Warsaw Pact States" or over here. I'm aware that the graffiti wasn't allowed on the East German side of the wall. But this is Communist and art related soo...
