Interesting opinion piece by British writer Neil Clark on the Western elite's perception that Mikhail Khodorkovsky is a dissident worthy of praise.

Any thoughts, comrades?

He's a fragging scumbag, and the women of Femen/Pussy Riot are spazzed out slags. However, imprisoning these twats isn't going to make the issue go away. As for Khodorkovsky himself, he should have been among the class of traitors headed by Gorbachev and Yeltsin who should have disappeared years ago. What can be done about him besides immediate resentencing to life imprisonment, which he definitely deserves, but can no longer happen outside of the Western media spotlight?

That is the downside of freedom of speech, sometimes we have to put up with opinions we don’t like and would rather not be aired. But that is a price worth paying.
I don’t believe he deserves to be imprison, why would you want to lock him up? He can’t help how he is perceived by the Western media. We should be condemning Putin for his heavy handedness. Anyone that speaks out against him should be praised but I accept we should ask dissidents, not just what they are against but what they are for.
