Proposal: New Rule

Can we not have any more of those posts where a person just copy and pastes something from a blog (or whatever), without even commenting on it? It doesn't spark discussion, simply serves to boost postcount, and is in the end, meaningless. It looks more as though they're some parrot of some advertiser instead of actual thinking human beings. A real life example would be to throw a book at a person, tell them to read it and then comment on it, without specifying which part is actually in discussion. It's obnoxious, infuriating, and is simply stupid.

I agree with you completely and you're definitely right in requesting this. Chaz said he'll handle it and will probably put something about it in the Newbie guide.

Of course, another long time pet peeve of mine is one liners. I personally grit my teeth when long time posters drop them.

If you've got nothing but a one liner's worth of info to share, here's a handy clue: you got nothing. Best to move on.
