Hello! First of all, I hope you are having a happy May Day! Secondly, this is my first topic, and I believe my first post, here, so please forgive the inevitable mistakes and misuses! So anyway, I was wondering — well mainly I was wondering if anyone will even read this anyway and how new posts work, but anyway! — if you are reading this, I was wondering if you could help me to identify what I believe is a quote from Vladimir Lenin. I can't remember either from where it is taken or even its exact wording, but I believe it said something to the effect that

Before the state can be overthrow, a new one must be built up in its place beforehand. Before revolution, a parallel state must be built to take its place.

Or something very roughly like that! I don't even know why I put my paraphrase into quotation marks, other than to visually identify the actual question in this run-on babble!

If you have a Yahoo! Answers account, you can answer my question there; include the word "plausible" in your answer to identify yourself to me, and I will choose the best answer with that word as best answer! Anyway, here is the link:

A big thank you in advance to anyone who is able to help!

P.S. In case you are curious, here is a link to what made me think of the quote: If you find the video interesting, you best download it! The permanent security of any channel that uploads it and videos like it is by no means guaranteed! Here is a link to a webpage I've found for downloading YouTube videos with:

It is probably from his state and revolution.

From the transition between capitalism, with its classicism and private property, to Communism, where classes and states are abolished, a Dictatorship of the Proletariat exists where the workers' seize the means of production and organize political power into their own hands. With the achievement of the world revolution and the full abolition of class distinctions, societies will simply function by themselves and the need for states will disappear. You can read Marx's Critique of the Gotha Program to read more about this transition. As Marx said, "Political power ... is merely the organized power of one class for oppressing another." This is why the Proletariat must seize the means of production, as bourgeois modes of governance will only work to oppress the workers and maintain capitalist modes of production.

Lenin was just developing on this concept, so his quote was directly referring to this.
