Political Unity Act

Henceforth C.P.S.U. shall refer to Communist Party of the Soviet Union.

Article 1. Given the need to prevent the nation from descending into the petty, superfluous and superficial politics of a capitalist state, and to ensure that co-operation shall prevail over artificial divisions created by multi-party politics, the C.P.S.U. shall be the only legal political party in the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics.

Article 2. In order to ensure that healthy debate is not stifled and that stagnation of the nation does not occur due to an "establishment" forming within the party and refusing progressive change, no person may be denied party membership on the basis that they disagree with existing party members on issues of party policy.

Article 3. In order to ensure that the structure of the C.P.S.U. never supersedes the national government institutions in importance, membership of the C.P.S.U. shall at no time be a prerequisite for obtaining any government, military or civilian office or award.
