This section of our website is intended to allow one to be able to quickly find out what event(s) occurred in the U.S.S.R. on any given day of the year. Aside from the obvious value of being able to bore your colleagues to death with "did you know that on this day in nineteen blab, blah, blah" type statements it will hopefully provide an interesting alternative to displaying information in one long timeline.

This page like many others is a continual work in progress, intended to grow ever more detailed over time and where your help is appreciated. So if you have any information to add to this project or have spotted an error we have made please do not hesitate to e-mail us.
