Su-35
Development/History
A further development of the Su-27 design, the Su-35 first flew in prototype form in May 1985. Initially designated T-10S, then Su-27M and finally Su-35, it is an extensive modification of the basic Su-27 with canards and wing extensions. A total of 11 prototype and pre-series aircraft had been built of which the last was further modified for thrush-vectoring trails. Designated Su-37, it astounded SBAC Farnborough visitors with the kilbit manoeuvre, in which the aircraft performed a somersault at low level.
